The Third Party Agency Accounting department is responsible for performing the accounting functions of state and federal student aid programs.

The responsibilities of the department:

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document transactions.
  • Perform periodic Federal Financial Aid student award drawdowns from the Department of Education automated processing system (G5).
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare revenue, expense, Work study - payroll adjustments, and other accounting documents.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies with appropriate Financial Aid personnel.
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare annual reports required by state and federal agencies.
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels for state and federal programs.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
