The Third Party Agency Accounting department is responsible for performing the accounting functions of state and federal student aid programs.
The responsibilities of the department:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document transactions.
- Perform periodic Federal Financial Aid student award drawdowns from the Department of Education automated processing system (G5).
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare revenue, expense, Work study - payroll adjustments, and other accounting documents.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies with appropriate Financial Aid personnel.
- Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare annual reports required by state and federal agencies.
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels for state and federal programs.
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
