Refund Options

South Texas College processes student refunds and disbursements in the form of a paper check which are mailed to the address on file.

In order to avoid any possible delays in receiving your disbursements, please update your address and phone number in JagNet.

For your convenience, PNC Bank, the college’s depository bank, has agreed to cash South Texas College’s student refund checks free of charge. You will be required to present a photo ID to cash your refund check to comply with banking regulations.

  1. Update your address and phone number
  2. Complete the Two-Step Verification Enrollment

Then follow these steps to enroll in e-Refunds:

  • Log-in to JagNet
  • At menu to left, click: Student Accounts
  • Click: Pay My Bill
  • At top of the page, click: Refunds Tab
  • Click: Set up Account to get started.

Refund Method Options

Refund method How long it takes About this method
e-Refunds (New)

In most cases, normal process time is 2 business days beginning the day after the electronic file is processed.

  • What it is: e-Refund automatically places your refund money into your preferred checking account.
  • What you need to do: Sign up for e-Refunds within JagNet. (see steps above “Sign up for e-Refunds today!”)
Paper Check

In most cases, checks will be mailed out 2 business days AFTER the refund has been entered on the student account.

  • What it is: A check will be mailed to the address on file at South Texas College.
  • What you need to do: Ensure your mailing address is up to date in JagNet or the Office of Admissions and Records.

Update Your Address and Phone Number

All students are encouraged to update their address and phone number to avoid delays! Updates can be made through the college's JagNet portal. See instructions below.

  • Click: View/Update Personal Information

How to update my Contact Information:

  • View Addresses and Phones
  • Click: Update Addresses and Phones
  • If address needs to be updated, continue the remaining steps
  • On "Addresses and Phones" (step 5 from Verifying your Contact Information)
  • Under Billing click: "Current:"
  • ONLY Update the following fields:
    • Valid from This Date: mm/dd/yyyy (enter today's date)
    • Address Line 1:

    • State or province:
